Jonathan came highly recommended. My daughter has an EHCP, a severe developmental language disorder, and difficulties with her working memory. In the very first session, Jonathan took the time to truly understand Freya’s needs and spoke openly and gently with her about the challenges she faces.


He introduced Freya to a visual drawing technique followed by the flip flash learning strategy. At the start of that first session, Freya described her working memory as “rubbish.” By the end, she had recalled over 24 facts about the Treaty of Versailles. We were both amazed at how effectively she was able to remember so much using this approach.


We then had a second session with Jonathan, where Freya once again amazed both herself and me—this time learning 24 GCSE-level facts about A Christmas Carol.


Freya finished her sessions saying she felt capable of anything. After almost giving up on finding a strategy that would work for her, I can honestly say that—even for the most complex needs—Jonathan has something truly special to offer children and young people. I would highly recommend him to parents and schools.

His motivating, strengths-based approach helps students grow in confidence as well as ability.  As someone who is severely dyslexic, I struggled throughout school with conventional approaches to learning. Jonathan tutored me while I was at secondary school and drastically changed my way of looking at how to study, showing me more creative and better suited ways of learning. From this I was able to achieve better GCSE and A level results than expected. Now I have achieved a 1st in engineering at a Russell Group university and have worked in F1, things which would not have seemed possible before meeting Jonathan 

Jonathan worked with our son and family at a time when we were tearing our hair out. Our son was 14 and early in his ADHD diagnosis. We didn’t have the knowledge or tools to know how to help him but Jonathan came to work with us and all that changed. He provided a safe place for our son and engaged in a way that had him open up and craft a new way of operating……helping him see his own potential and make better choices. Jonathan’s work made a lasting impact on all of us and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Jonathan has worked for 3 years with my son and has been an excellent tutor and coach to him. He has understood his individual needs and provided a bespoke programme for him that has contributed to a significant positive transformation in his confidence and his academic performance. He fully understands neurodivergence and can provide creative and individualised solutions. He knows how to build trust with students and to support them to build resilience and self belief. Jonathan helped our eldest son some 10 years ago. We were at a loss where to send him for senior school, at the time Jonathan was head of learning support at Tonbridge School & we were lucky enough to have a meeting with him. We had been told our son was not Tonbridge School material from his prep school, but they had an awesome head of learning support there (Jonathan), if we could get a meeting with him he would guide us in helping our son go to the school that best suited him.

At the time our son was aged 11, Jonathan coached him privately once a week for a year to help him with his maths, each week we would go to his house and he would unlock another stage in maths he had missing.

We became great friends because he was one of the few teachers that weren’t pulling the wool over our eyes, genuinely wanting to help our son, and ended up 10 years later trying to help him again, mentoring him in his adult life.

I cannot fault Jonathan, he is a genuinely extraordinary man with super powers, a fantastic sense of humour and an incredible ability to unlock children from all false beliefs and giving them hope.

If I had children at school age still who needed a bit of guidance or an input of magic into their belief system about themselves I wouldn’t hesitate to send them to Jonathan
