Meet the Creator

Hi I'm Jonathan the creator of FlipFlash Learning ©

I have spent my career supporting the education and emotional needs of students who have experienced difficulty accessing their curriculum.

I have worked with children with profound and multiple learning difficulties as well as students with neurodiversity, processing difficulties, attention and focus deficits as well as language needs.

I am a severely visually impaired teacher and this has sparked in me over the years a desire to always find a solution, no matter how big the perception of the problem might be.

His experience is uniquely comprehensive, having worked with students operating at P levels through to those securing scholarships at the world’s most prestigious universities.

Jonathan’s leadership journey includes serving as the Operational Head and Deputy Head of a Special Needs School, as well as Head of Learning Strategies at renowned institutions such as Tonbridge Schooland Christ’s Hospital. A seasoned classroom practitioner, he spent many years as a Mainstream History Teacher, giving him a grounded, practical understanding of the challenges faced by teachers and students in the modern classroom

Internationally, Jonathan has held senior pastoral and strategic roles in China with Wellington College International Tianjin, BASIS International Nanjing, and the Nord Anglia China central office team.

FlipFlash Learning started as a method for me to access the teaching and learning process, working in class and with individual students. I very soon discovered that the tool I designed to help me ended up benefitting the students I worked with.
